Lately, I’ve been trying to jump on every travel opportunity I get! It all started last year in May with my first trip to Portland and then continued to more travel. Last year I went to Detroit, Canada, Missouri, Washington, and Portland! I’m hoping to continue the travel trend this year (the goal is Texas, Atlanta, and hopefully Ireland).

Travel Tip 1)
Plan your outfits ahead!
One of my favorite travel tips is to preplan your outfits and stack them together, then roll them together (the top + jeans). Roll your jackets as well and stack them inside. Doing this will force you to think ahead about what to wear and it cuts out overpacking. You can still include an extra shirt and pants just to be safe.
Travel Tip 2)
Find a great carry on suitcase!
I love suitcases with a lot of compartments and pockets so I can easily separate everything. I got this lavender suitcase from Tj Maxx but if you can’t find it at your local Tj Maxx, here is a link for the white version from Kenneth Cole’s website. I absolutely love this color though and it is one of the main reasons I bought it. I also picked up this cute foldable laundry bag there as well.
Travel Tip 3)
Buy items you can use even when you’re not traveling!
- PureSteam handheld steamer: This has been SO HANDY! I can take it with me when traveling or use it at home but it makes it SO much easier to get wrinkles out of clothes than an iron. Plus it’s safer on the fabrics, you can use this on sensitive fabrics as well. I’ve had this for over a year and swear by it.
- Sophia Joy Makeup Pouch: I love the texture in this makeup pouch from Target! Our local one only had this one but apparently, there’s a whole collection with this print! I carry this around on the daily 🙂
- Yoki Light Brown Backpack: I actually bought this backpack for my Disneyland days but I’m falling more and more in love with it and want to wear it daily. I bought this one from Ross but here are a few similar options;
