Shoppable Instagram Posts

 

Instagram has been testing Shoppable Instagram Posts with a select few including Target, Kate Spade, Warby Parker since November of 2016. This October they started releasing it to a larger audience and everyone is scrambling to find out how to get this feature. After a few days of research, I’ve discovered what they are doing. A few friends of mine received this feature, take a look at their posts;

 

 

You can tap on their photo, see the product and price and then click the product to purchase it. People can do the full checkout through instagram.

So how do you get approved for this feature? Instagram is currently working with Shopify & Big Commerce customers first. If you have a Shopify account you should get approved in the next couple of days. As for the rest of us, we’ll have to wait a little bit longer for this feature.
