1) We would love to get to know you more. Tell us a little bit about yourself.

Hello new friends!! My name is Madi and I’m from in Minneapolis, MN. I do a lot of random things to keep myself busy. Besides from my full time job as a Marketing Coordinator, I love modeling, singing and having my hands in all sorts of projects. Fun fact: I love chickens and had them as pets in my apartment. Everyone should have pet chickens.

2) When did you first become interested in fashion?

My whole life I’ve been always on the lookout to be in line with the “trends,” and throughout high school/college, that Free People life was my JAM. I would style certain items together to only get my FP email a week later with the same idea I had, so it’s always felt like I’ve had a strong connection with the fashion world. I love to be trendy but also add my own flair to something. As I’ve gotten older, my style has changed so drastically but who I am always comes through my clothing.

3) What is your favorite place to shop and why?

Honestly, online. I shop Zara, ASOS, H&M online a lot and will ship out a bunch of items to myself, try them on at home then return what doesn’t work out. It’s better to try on clothes in my own home because I don’t feel the pressure of the perfectly lit fitting room and my dull clothes that I walked in there with. Plus, you get to try on the clothes with your own pieces to see how they fit into your wardrobe. When I’m not shopping online, I love getting one of a kind pieces from The Golden Rule (in Excelsior, MN) or Parc Boutique (in NE Minneapolis, MN).

4) What is your must have accessory?

Earrings. Love ’em.

5) What is your favorite season and why?

Fall. Everything is so so beautiful here in MN and there is a crispness in the air that I’ve never felt anywhere else. I love it so much. Plus the clothes you can wear!!!!! Ah! It’s so wonderful.

6) Who is your main fashion inspiration?

Throughout college it was @hannafaithlord. I still love her style but it’s not my entire vibe anymore. I take inspiration from a lot of people/blogs/pinterest pages. There isn’t one person anymore that I’m like “I HAVE TO HAVE WHAT SHE’S WEARING.” But I will say, that @jeannedamas is high up on the list. All the French vibes.

7) What does your typical day look like?

Every day is literally so different haha. I work from home for a few hours, go into work usually then have a shoot or something fun with friends in the afternoon/evening. My favorite part of the day is getting ready. It sounds so silly but I love my beauty routine and putting on a cute outfit.

8) What are your future goals, in general?

Keep doing what I am passionate about. Singing/modeling/having babies someday. Don’t really know fully right now. Experimenting with a lot of different things at the moment to figure that out!

9) What makes you feel beautiful?

When I’m pursuing my passions, wearing something that I feel confident in (makeup/clothes), or just out and about with my husband living life together. All these things are very good, beautiful things that make me feel great on the inside and the outside.

10) What makes your heart beat?

More than anything, singing. I lead worship at my church and that is everything to me. If I could do that one thing the rest of my life, I would. I have an issue with my vocal chords so I logistically can’t sing full time at the moment. But maybe someday! Until then, I am in the process of discovering what else makes my heart beat. And fashion definitely does.
