One of my goals for 2017 is to give more meaningful cards for my friends’ birthdays. Two of my friends had birthdays during the same week so I decided to make birthday cards for them! These cards were super easy to make, used minimal supplies, and only took about 15 minutes to make each card!
Supplies:
- Paper (3 different colors)
- Pencil
- Markers
- Scissors
- Glue
First, cut the white paper to your desired card size and glue it onto the paper you’re using as the border color. Then cut a piece of the white paper to fit the front of the card and write “Happy Birthday.” I used this as an opportunity to practice my new favorite hobby, hand lettering! Next, cut the balloon and a triangle for the bottom of the balloon. Glue those pieces in the correct spots and add some dots for a fun confetti look.
And voila, you have homemade birthday cards! I love this DIY because it’s so easy to make and adds so much more meaning to birthday gifts. You can get more creative with these too by replacing the balloon with something else birthday related, like a present or a cake! xoxo, Kelly
