Love coffee? How about worship? Donuts? All of these deliciously wonderful elements were just a part of our our first ever Coffee and Worship Night at Ark Coffee Co. This event, co-hosted by Grace Belle, Ark Coffee, and This LA Community, featured decadent donuts provided by Sidecar Doughnuts, refreshing drinks from Generosity Water, beautiful decor from Out of the Dust Rentals, and the musical stylings of Jesus Worldwide. It was a wonderful opportunity to connect, chat over a great cup of joe, and worship among new friends. #GraceBelleEvents
The night began at 6:00, where we were greeted with iced coffee to quench our thirst, courtesy of Ark Coffee Co., and lots of friendly faces, courtesy of the wonderful Grace Belle community. Approximately 50 lovely guests attended the gathering, providing lively conversations and stories to last the night.
As guests walked in, they were greeted with a bulletin board. On the top read, “If you didn’t let fear hold you back, what would you do?” This was all part of creating an open and honest community. It’s a reminder that our fears did not define us, and that we could full-heartedly trust in the Lord’s plan for our lives, no matter the obstacles. The room was filled with reminders of this message, with from banners pinned up on the wall reading such phrases as, “Let your faith be bigger than your fear.”
The theme of the night was God’s plan for your life, and trusting in His plan in the midst of your struggles- much like Noah in the Genesis account. He was not given the entire plan for how God’s plan would work out, even in such a catastrophic situation as the flood. Noah was given information to take the steps in front of him- one at a time. It seemed fitting to have a Noah in the ark message in the Ark Coffee Co. It was just too perfect.
Next, there were amazing spoken word performances that reminded us of our identity in Christ. We had an awesome speaker, Nathan Tecson, who called us to remember who we are- beloved children of God. That is what gives us value and life- not what we try to do or surround ourselves with. We can trust in God and His plans for our lives. He is greater.
The rest of the night we worshipped with Jesus Worldwide and exchanged stories of hope and faith. All in all, this was an incredible event that allowed us to meet so many more community members, and to do so in a beautiful environment. Be sure to keep an eye out on our website and Instagram for more events coming your way.
