Today I’m going to share with you my camera gear I take with me when traveling! I love documenting my trips through photos and videos, which is why I have a decent amount of cameras. But it’s great because I’ve narrowed it down to taking just what I need and all the cameras have different purposes.
Let me start with my favorite vlogging camera, the Canon G7X. I love this camera because it records such high quality videos and can fit in my pocket! It’s the perfect balance of physical size and video quality. The camera has a flip up screen so you can easily see yourself while pointing the camera at your face and is incredible in low light. I like using my Joby GorillaPod as the tripod because it’s flexible and you can easily adjust it to keep it on any surface.
Next is my Canon T2i with the 50mm f/1.4 lens. I bring this around with me to take beautiful portraits and to record footage with a lower aperture than my G7X, meaning it’s even better in low light. I wouldn’t recommend bringing this camera and lens combo on a trip where you’ll mostly be indoors because the lens is too tight in most situations to get enough of your subject in the photo.
If water is involved on my trip, I have to bring my GoPro with a bobber handle. The bobber is great because it acts as a handle and keeps my GoPro afloat. The only way I’ll be able to get shots in the water is by using my GoPro!
Last but not least is my white Fujifilm Instax Mini 8 camera. It’s the cutest accessory to add in flat lays and I love having a tangible copy of a memory!
With all of these cameras, I can document all of my trips and look back at the memories! Do it for the mems, am I right? xoxo, Kelly
